We have accidentally scratched paint with the cheap, nylon-banded edges of generic microfiber towels before, but this towel is soft all the way to the edge. However, a crucial tip: wash this towel by itself or with other microfiber before your first use. It comes with a slight factory lint that you want to get rid of before dragging it across a pristine paint job.
Compared to standard auto store drying towels that push water around, this twisted loop microfiber actually drinks the water. The dual-color sides are also surprisingly useful—we use the grey side for the painted surfaces and the darker side for wiping down glass and interior dashboards to avoid cross-contamination. What to Consider Before Buying
